Fees
A member's fee for the 2026-27 curling season consists of three components. All fees include HST.
- "Club Fee" - the amount which is based on the type of membership as detailed below.
- "Capital Fund Levy" - $65 annually charged to adults curling in any of the regular leagues.
- "League Fees" as detailed under "League Descriptions".
Types
The following membership types are available at York Curling:
Senior / Adult League Membership - Full Year
Annual Fee: $360.00This membership option is for individuals wishing to participate in standard senior and adult league play (applicable to any league other than Juniors and Little Rocks).
Member Privileges
- Ice & Facility Access: Full access to use club facilities and book practice ice.
- Voting Rights: Members who have attained the age of 18 are entitled to vote at any meeting of the YCC membership.
- Note on Intermediate Rates: Registrants under the age of 30 (born on or after July 1, 1997) may register as an Intermediate Adult League Participant instead.

- Capital Fund Levy: $65.00 (Note: The Capital Fund Levy is a YCC commitment dedicated to meeting the needs of ongoing club maintenance and facility improvements).
- Total Fee: $360.00
Available Discounts
- $30.00 Early Bird / New Member Discount: Applied to all new and returning members who register and pay in full by August 31, 2026. (Total after discount: $330.00)
Intermediate Adult League Membership
Annual Fee: $255.00This membership option is designed to encourage young adults to participate in YCC adult league play (applicable to any league other than Juniors and Little Rocks), or for those who wish to participate in both an adult and a youth league.
Eligibility
- Available to young adults under the age of 30 (born on or after July 1, 1997).
Member Privileges
- Ice & Facility Access: Full access to use club facilities and book practice ice.
- Voting Rights: Members who have attained the age of 18 are entitled to vote at any meeting of the YCC membership.

Half Year Tag Membership
Annual Fee: $192.50This membership option is available for Seniors wishing to participate in only half of the season:

Registration & Placement Process

Waitlist Policy: Any member selecting this option will be placed on a waitlist until September 1st.

Placement: After September 1st, members will be placed into their selected time slots, subject to availability.

If no spots are available: You will be contacted to either choose an alternative selection, remain on the general waitlist, or receive a full refund of your dues.

Required Additional League Fees
To participate in weekend play, the following applicable fee will be added to your base membership:

Little Rocks (U12) League - Club and Capital fees are waived
This membership option is strictly for individuals who wish to participate in only a YCC youth league (specifically, Juniors or Little Rocks).
Eligibility

Age Limit: Reserved for youth under the age of 12.

Birthdate Cutoff: For the current 2026 season, participants must be born on or after July 1, 2014.

Junior (U15/U18/U21) League - Club and Capital fees are waived
This membership option is strictly for individuals who wish to participate in only a YCC youth league (specifically, Juniors or Little Rocks).
Eligibility

Age Limit: Reserved for youth under the age of 21.

Birthdate Cutoff: For the current 2026 season, participants must be born on or after July 1, 2005.
Member Privileges

Spare Only Membership
Annual Fee: $465.00This membership option is for adults who wish to choose a "spare only" status covering all eligible leagues.
Member Responsibilities & Privileges

Subbing Registry: It is the member's responsibility to ensure they add their name to the "My Subbing Availability" feature located on the Member Login panel.

Ice & Facility Access: Includes full on-ice privileges for practice purposes.

Sparing Limitations: Sparing for teams that have lost a member due to medical withdrawal is limited to 50% of the remaining games of the season, up to a maximum of 6 games.

Practice Ice Membership
Annual Fee: $155.00This membership option is for individuals who wish to use the club facilities primarily for practice and occasional event play, rather than regular league play.
Member Privileges & Limitations

On-Ice Access: Privileges are strictly limited to practice purposes and participating in in-club bonspiels.

Club Access: Full access to use club facilities.

Voting Rights: Practice Ice members are not entitled to vote at any meeting of the YCC membership.
Booking Rules

All practice ice must be booked in advance using the "Reserve Ice Time" feature located on the YCC Member's Home page.
Pay-As-You-Play Spare
Annual Fee: $25.00This membership option is primarily intended for past members and experienced curlers who are unable to commit to a full season of curling but still want to stay connected to the club.
Member Privileges & Limitations

Sparing Rules: Members are permitted to spare in any league for a maximum of 5 games per season.
Fee Structure & Tracking

Initial Registration: The base registration cost covers the fee for your first game.

Subsequent Games: A fee of $25.00 must be paid at the bar prior to each subsequent game.

Tracking: The club will track the number of games played at the bar at the time of payment.
Social Membership
This membership option is for individuals who wish to stay connected with the club without participating in regular league play.
Member Privileges & Limitations
Honorary Social Membership - Special Status Qualifications:
- Former Shareholders: Upon application for a social membership by a former YCC shareholder, Honorary Social Membership status is automatically conferred.
- Noteworthy Service: The Board may also confer this honorary status on any person who has rendered exceptional service to the club.
