"League Fee" – The Board has adjusted League Fees to make them more equitable across all leagues. The League Fee will vary based on type of league, time allocated for the game, demand for the time slot, time allocated for the game, the number of games in a season and the number of curlers involved in a game.
- League Fees will range from $90 to $220 per league in addition to the club fee.
- Continuing this season, the Saturday night Social will run as a TAG league introducing Doubles and Triples to both new curlers and seasoned curlers alike. We are offering new members a discounted membership fee for their first season - this is a limited membership which will allow those members to curl on Saturday night TAG league and also to spare on the Sunday flight league.
- The Board is continuing the program whereby the lowest priced leagues beyond your 2nd league (applies to 3rd, 4th, 5th etc.) will be discounted by 25%.
- If any overpayments are made at time of registration, Membership will make the appropriate refunds once registration is complete. Thank you for your understanding.

Max # Teams: 12
Ice Availability: 19 weeks
League Fee: $140
Target Curlers: This is an introductory league for curlers age 8 to 11. This league can be referred to as the U12 age bracket (born on or after July 1, 2013) determined by our parent sports organizations, CurlON and Curling Canada. We will accept curlers at the age of 7, if a curling parent volunteer is agreeable to assist with on ice instruction.
Objective: The focus of this league is to introduce young members of the community to the sport of curling and to develop good sportsmanship and curling skills to a level where they can continue to curl socially for a number of years or to curl competitively. Curlers from our Little Rock program have gone on to compete in Provincial School Competitions, National College Competitions, National Club Curler Competitions and World University and World Mixed Competitions.
Format: This is primarily a developmental league with about 30 minutes each week spent developing the delivery and sweeping skills. The developmental activities are followed by a two-end game, giving the curlers exposure to a game format. Individuals are awarded points for attendance and for game performance each week.
Equipment: A limited supply of curling shoes are available for seasonal rental and club curling brooms are available for use within the club. Contact: manager@yorkcurlingclub.ca for more information.
Competitions: Each year York Curling Club participates in the Hit, Draw, Tap Competition, which provides the opportunity for curlers 13 years of age and younger the opportunity to compete against other curler,s executing a set series of shots. York Curling Club has had success at the Provincial Level and has had members participate at the Nationals in this competition. In addition, there are Little Rock Bonspiels held at various clubs in the area where curlers can form a team and participate in these one-day events at other clubs.
Parent Volunteers: We depend on parent volunteers to assist with this league. If you can assist in one of these roles, please notify the Club Manager, Jack Inouye, manager@yorkcurlingclub.ca, no curling experience necessary!
- On-Ice Coaching - basic curling experience is an asset to help guide our little rocks to develop their curling skills.
- Snack Coordinator - A podcast has identified that Little Rock post-game snack time was something that the curlers remembered and liked the best about curling. Please indicate if you would like to volunteer to help with snacks this season.
- Lounge Clean-up - After the snacks, the lounge area will need a quick cleanup, chair and table re-organization.
