Established in 1956 and serving over 600 members in Newmarket, Aurora and surrounding York Region, York Curling Club (YCC) is a private, members-driven, not-for-profit curling facility that promotes community enrichment, physical activity and wellness. We offer a fun, safe and inclusive seasonal curling environment from October to April with programs for many recreational, competitive, U12 and U21 leagues and schools, plus Try Curling/Intro to Curling events, bonspiels, championships, as well as select opportunities for member and non-member guest rentals.
With required ice maintenance and multiple draws/events daily, there is limited ice availability so book early to ensure your chance to experience this great sport. Good curling!

YCC is a six-sheet facility with the ability to host a maximum of 8 participants/sheet.
Ice rentals are available mid-October to the end of March. Rentals can include the use of the YCC lounge and kitchen space. Some extra charges may apply pending additional requirements (ie. instructors, coffee, table cloth rentals, kitchen dishes/dishwasher).
Please note the following:
Age Restriction: For safety reasons, rental participants must be 12 years of age or older.
Curling Instruction: YCC instructors are mandatory for any rental group where all or most participants are new curlers. Instruction will include basic curling fundamentals of delivery, sweeping and game play while answering questions and monitoring safety of play and use of equipment. There is an incremental fee of $50/instructor.
Bartending Service: Included for most rentals occuring during YCC bar operating hours (exceptions may apply).
Unsafe Conduct: York Curling Club reserves the right to remove any individual from the ice at its sole discretion. Unsafe and prohibited conduct includes but is not limited to bullying behaviour, running on the ice, lifting and dropping rocks or any other intentional misuse of equipment that might create an unsafe environment for any rental participant or instructor.
Full Day Rental (non-member) $36.00 per curler (HST included)

- $1,356 minimum charge

Use the YCC Events Booking for large private event registration management. For a fee we will post and promote your event on our website and take care of the registration/online payments process providing you with updates along the way. Please contact the club for more information about this option.
Half Day Rental (non-member) $29.00 per curler (HST included)
- Only a few Saturday's available each season
- Morning (9:00 am – 12:00 pm) or Afternoon (1:00 pm – 4:00 pm)
- $904 minimum charge
Full Day Rental (member) $ 32.00 per curler (HST included)
- Only a few Saturday's available each season
- 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
- $1,130 minimum charge
Half Day Rental (member) $24.00 per curler (HST included)
- Only a few Saturday's available each season
- Morning (9:00 am – 12:00 pm) or Afternoon (1:00 pm – 4:00 pm)
- $791 minimum charge
Small Group Rentals
- Book one or two sheets of ice for a 2-hour session (up to 8 participants/sheet). Ice fees start at $180/sheet.
Off-Season Lounge Rental
Lounge rentals are available to the public Mid-April to the middle of September at a cost starting at $500.00 (HST included). Our modern lounge has a capacity of up to 150 people and includes sound system, 65" HD TV and use of kitchen. We do not have restaurant service; however, you are welcome to bring in caterers. Full bar service is included. In addition, you will be required to provide a certificate of insurance for lounge rentals.
